NHPC is a Cameroonian Public Limited Company created on July 7, 2016.

Its mission is to design, finance and build the Nachtigal hydroelectric facility located at 70 km Northeast of Yaoundé on the Sanaga river and a transmission line to evacuate energy to its connection substation in Nyom 2 at the north of Yaoundé.

The company will also operate the hydroelectric facility for 35 years from 2024.
